Emigrant Lake
Popular spot for swimming, kayaking, and picnicking with designated dog-friendly areas. The reservoir sits just southeast of Ashland and offers stunning views of the surrounding hills.
Grizzly Peak Trail
Moderate hike with stunning views of the Rogue Valley, Mount Shasta, and the surrounding mountains. Dogs on leash are welcome on this well-maintained trail through pine forests and wildflower meadows.
Lithia Park in Ashland
A jewel of Ashland, this 93-acre park features miles of trails, a meandering creek, Japanese gardens, and plenty of shade. Dogs on leash are welcome to explore the serene paths alongside their humans.
Rogue Valley Wine Country
Explore over 25 local vineyards and tasting rooms, many with outdoor pet-friendly patios overlooking rolling hills. The Applegate Valley and Jacksonville wine trails are especially dog-welcoming.
Table Rock
An iconic Rogue Valley hike with panoramic views from the flat summit. The moderate-to-strenuous climb is worth every step. Dogs allowed on leash. One of the most photographed spots in the region.
Cooks Memorial Greenway
A flat, paved trail along Bear Creek that runs through Medford, perfect for walking, jogging, and biking with your pup. Accessible from multiple points and a favorite among locals for daily walks.
Lost Creek Lake
A beautiful reservoir northeast of Medford offering fishing, boating, and hiking with dog-friendly trails around the lake. The surrounding park areas provide plenty of space for a day out with the family and your pup.
Medford Dog Park
A dedicated off-leash area managed by Medford Parks & Rec where dogs can run and play freely. Fenced, well-maintained, and a social hub for local pet owners. Separate areas for small and large dogs.
Applegate Lake
A scenic reservoir southwest of Medford surrounded by hiking trails through pine and oak woodlands. Great for swimming, picnicking, and paddling with your dog. A quieter alternative to the busier lakes.
